Be a part of the patient safety movement. Help make healthcare safer.

Reducing incidences of preventable patient harm is what the patient safety movement is all about. CAE Healthcare believes that with continuous, high-quality training, clinical competencies can be maximized. With a focus on putting patient safety first, we can reduce medical errors and improve outcomes.

Recognizing patient safety as a global health priority, 194 countries came together in May 2019 at the 72nd World Health Organization (WHO) World Health Assembly to establish September 17, 2019  as the very first annual World Patient Safety Day. Going forward, on this date, every year, WHO will bring focus and attention to patient safety around the world, aiming to increase public awareness and motivate engagement. Together, communities of the world can enhance understanding, spur solidarity and take positive action.

The theme is "Patient Safety: A global health priority" and the slogan is “Speak up for patient safety.” Learn more at

To commemorate this event, the Canadian Patient Safety Institute (CPSI), in collaboration with CAE Healthcare, HSO & Patients for Patient Safety Canada, will host an exclusive, livestream screening of the ground-breaking patient safety documentary, “To Err is Human” followed by a healthcare leader panel discussion.
